Prince Edward Island Premier Robert Ghiz hosted Premiers and their delegations for the 55th Annual Premiers' Conference. The meeting  took place in Historic Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

The 55th Annual Premiers’ Conference happened to fall on a rather special anniversary for Canada - 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference. With such a historic backdrop for this year’s Summer Meeting, today’s policy leaders drew upon the same vision that our forefathers shared before us: a determined attitude and the teamwork to tackle any issue, together. The Council of the Federation’s objective is to ensure interprovincial-territorial co-operation now and in the future.
