Statement by Premier Robert Ghiz

Premier Robert Ghiz made the following statement on the resignation of Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty.

“Premier McGuinty has made a great contribution to public life and to the people of Ontario. I would like to commend Premier McGuinty for his nine years of service as Premier, in particular, the Premier’s focus on education and the introduction of full-day kindergarten which will pay enormous dividends in the years to come.

“Premier McGuinty and I have had the opportunity to work closely together over the years and I wish him well in the future.

“On behalf of Prince Edward Island, I would like to thank Premier McGuinty for his outstanding service to the people of Ontario.”
