Condolences to the family of Stompin’ Tom Connors

Premier's Office

Islanders are joined together today as we remember the life and music of Stompin’ Tom Connors. He will be remembered by Canadians for his iconic Canadian songs such as The Hockey Song and Bud the Spud. Here on the Island, we will also remember him for songs like The Skinner’s Pond Teapot and Home on the Island that spoke of our communities and of Island ways.

Most of all, Stompin’ Tom made Islanders proud and he was proud to be an Islander. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Stompin’ Tom Connors, a great Canadian.
