In this photo PEI Premier Robert Ghiz gets on-board one of two new hydrogen-powered bus that will soon be offering “clean rides” across Charlottetown. The provincial and federal governments joined private sector partners in announcing funding for the project. The purpose of the project is to test the hydrogen technology in a maritime climate. Mr. Pierre Gauthier, Air Liquide Director of Hydrogen Energy for North America; Ms. Caroline Hughes, Director of Government Relations for Ford Canada; and the Honourable Guy Lauzon, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and for the Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario, participated in the event. ~ Sur cette photo, le premier ministre de l’Î.-P.-É., Robert Ghiz, monte à bord de l’un des deux nouveaux autobus alimentés à l’hydrogène qui offriront bientôt des « balades propres » dans Charlottetown. Les gouvernements fédéral et provincial ont formé un partenariat avec le secteur privé pour annoncer le financement du projet. L’objectif du projet est de tester la technologie de l’hydrogène dans un climat maritime. Le directeur de l’énergie associée à l’hydrogène pour l’Amérique du Nord chez Air Liquide, Pierre Gauthier, la directrice des relations gouvernementales pour Ford Canada, ainsi que le secrétaire parlementaire du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et pour l’initiative fédérale du développement économique dans le Nord de l’Ontario, l’honorable Guy Lauzon, ont participé à l’événement.
