Premier Robert Ghiz, and Health and Wellness Minister Carolyn Bertram were at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) to announce the implementation of the first phase of the Provincial Organized Stroke Care Model, which includes the establishment of an Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at the QEH. Joining the Premier and Minister Bertram are (L - R) Kim Wood, Nurse Manager of the Acute Stroke Unit, Dr. Reg Hutchings, neurologist at the QEH and Chair of the Provincial Stroke Steering Committee, and Rick Adams, Executive Director of the QEH.
