CEO's Office
Aidan Sheridan was appointed CEO of the Public Service Commission of PEI in July 2009. As a career Public Servant Aidan has been employed as a Pensions Advocate with the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1985 with this work involving representing veterans in their claims for disability pensions arising from their service. In 1996, Aidan accepted a one-year secondment as a Crown Attorney where he acted as a Crown Prosecutor in every court in PEI.
Aidan also served for over 20 years as a Reserve Legal Officer within the Office of the Judge Advocate General branch of the Canadian Forces. In addition to supervising several other reserve lawyers, he also represented Canada at international conferences on the Law of War and International Humanitarian Law in both the U.S. and Europe.
A former Vice-Chair of the PEI Labour Relations Board, he has conducted many arbitration hearings within various Collective Agreements.
Aidan has held several volunteer positions such as President of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty, the executive of the Sherwood Soccer Club, 2009 Canada Games, the Canadian Cancer Society, and the Law Society of PEI.
