Le dictionnaire visuel: Le dictionnaire visuel is a visual dictionary with categories such as plant biology, animal biology, the human body, music, transportation, and clothing. 

Grand dictionnaire terminologique: This site is from the Office Québecois de la langue française and contains a glossary, vocabulary, names and places in Quebec, games and helpful links.  Especially good for finding scientific, technical, and bureaucratic terms. 

About.com: French Language: This site contains pages including detailed lessons on the pronunciation of each letter and many letter combinations, tips and explanations of other issues related to French pronunciation, and thousands of sound files.

ClicNet: Français langue étrangère et langue seconde: This site contains short dialogues for listening comprehension and contains links to useful sites for learning French with difficulty levels assigned.

Wikipedia: Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia - a good place to find general information.

Français interactif from the University of Texas: Go directly to the “Carte du site: for access to grammar points, quizzes, video, dialogues, audio, etc. 

BBC online French: Online audio and video for learning basic French and self assessment tools.

Bonjour de France: A free cyber program with exercises, tests and games for various levels of French ability.

About.com: This site is a resource for those beginning or wanting to refresh french grammar skills.  It has information on the parts of speech, an introduction to sentences, and basic grammar lessons.  There is also a link to sign up for a free weekly e-mail to learn basic grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

Banque de dépannage linguistique from Office de la langue française: This site is helpful for answering questions on grammar, syntax, punctuation, vocabulary, typography, pronunciation, abbreviations, etc. 

Le conjugeur.com: This site is helpful for conjugating French verbs. 

Tex’s French Grammar: A pedagogical grammar reference, guide to French grammar using humourous dialogues and cartoons from the University of Texas.
