Public Health Inspector - Joe Bradley

Public Health Inspectors work with eating establishments, public pools, and child care facilities to reduce the chance of illness and prevent disease in PEI. And the man in charge on PEI has been recognized as one of the best in Canada. Joe Bradley is the recipient of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspector’s 2015 Alex Cross Award. This prestigious national award recognizes a member annually for his or her leadership, promotion and commitment to advancing the field of environmental health.

“Through education, consultation and inspection our work is targeted towards health promotion and illness prevention by reducing the risk of contracting a communicable disease through food, water or your environment,” Bradley said.

“There are environmental public health professionals practicing here in PEI and across Canada who are equally as deserving of this award. To be recognized by your peers is humbling, but also very special indeed.”

Congratulations Joe and team, and thanks for working hard to keep us all safe and healthy.
