Public Service Commission
Learning and You - There's always time to learn
Busy schedules can make it difficult for us to seek-out new learning opportunities, but the Public Service Commission makes it easy to keep learning.
There are lots of free sessions that fit employees’ needs and interests and also departmental and government priorities.
Sessions available to all employees
This year, there are 26 session topics; including Government Structure, Process and Practice, Human Resources Management, Leadership and Management, Employee Well Being, and Business and Personal Effectiveness.
The sessions are led by 45 experts from across government. Find a session and register by visiting www.gov.pe.ca/psc/learn.
Leadership and Management sessions through UPEI and HR Atlantic
The Public Service Commission also funds learning opportunities designed to support employees in the challenging roles of manager and leader.
UPEI offers a program customized for new managers and supervisors from across the civil service (20 participants); employees from each department are attending a UPEI program for aspiring managers and supervisors (25 participants); and there are 24 mid-career managers and supervisors attending the HR Atlantic program called The Engaging Manager.
