Taste the Island

Coined as "Food Island", Prince Edward Island is known for the high quality food products produced right here in our own backyard.
To celebrate the work of Island producers and to showcase some of their products during Public Service Week, we will be hosting a Taste the Island demonstration of honey, cheese and juice.

Products to be featured include honey from Honeydew Apiaries, cheese from Island Artisan Cheesehouse, Isle Saint-Jean Farm and ADL. Samples of juice and tea from Beamish Orchard, Rawsome Juice Bar and Heartbeet Organics will also be available.

Everyone is invited to come experience a small taste of Prince Edward Island.

Mental Health and the Workplace

Workplaces and the people in them play an important role in recovery from mental illness. One of five individuals will experience a mental illness in their life time.

This presentation will provide an overview of what we might observe in ourselves or our colleagues suggesting mental health concerns through early signs of possibly mental health conditions and mental illness.

It will also include suggestions about how to offer support and encouragement for colleagues seeking help and returning to work following absence for mental health concerns.

Presenters:  Shirley Cole, MSW, RSW, Manager of Community Mental Health East and Shauna Reddin, Provincial Addictions Program Manager
