Public Service Week in Review: Prize winning puppy and people too
Pet Photo Contest Winner
Staff of the public service sure do love their pets. In total, 66 entries were received for the pet photo contest. Thank you to all staff who entered. View all the adorable pet photos
Congratulations to Shauna Slaven, project manager with ITSS, and her dog Lucy on winning the pet photo contest. Lucy is a five-month-old Shetland sheepdog. She completed Slaven's family in March 2017 and apparently is spoiled more than the family's children.

- Donald A. Reid, Justice and Public Safety - one paid-day-off winner
- Kyra Lee Stiles, Agriculture and Forestry - bonus prize of one week of underground parking at the provincial government administration buildings during winter
Non-Profit WinnersThank you to all staff who participated in casual day during the week. A donation of $560 was made to the Charlottetown Food Bank.
The Children's Wish Foundation received donations totalling $4860.80 from the barbeque in the PAB courtyard.

FeedbackAll events across the Island were well attended. Public Service Week committee members received favorable comments regarding the type of activities held this year.
Of note, staff of Canadian Blood Services presented information about the importance of donating blood and also conducted blood typing on-site. Several employees took advantage of this service to find out their blood type for the first time.
The Expedia Cruise presentation was an opportunity to find out about good deals when planning a future vacation.
