Planning Retirement from the PEI Public Service
To help provincial public service employees prepare for the transition to retirement, the Public Service Commission is two half day sessions.
The Retirement Program is funded through the Public Service Commission. There is no cost to employees or to departments.
Supervisor/Manager approval is required to attend any part of the program.
All about Retirement Benefits
This session provides information about the pensions that employees may be eligible for upon retiring from the public service. The half day agenda includes:
8:30 to 10:15 - A representative of the Pensions and Benefits Division with Finance and Municipal Affairs will present information about pensions for provincial government employees.
10:15 to 10:30 - Break
10:30 to 12:30 - A Citizen Service Specialist from Service Canada will inform you about Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS).
