The Securities Division of the Office of the Attorney General is warning the public that it has become aware of an unlicensed company "Lincoln Financial Corporation" which is soliciting investment funds in the province. Lincoln Financial Corporation has been soliciting clients through local radio advertisements wherein it encourages "serious qualified investors, looking for short-term big profits" to call its toll-free number in order to invest in Foreign Currency Markets.
Although the company name is not indicated in the local radio ad the company operates under the name "Lincoln Financial Corporation" and is supposedly located in Boca Raton, Florida.
Lincoln Financial Corporation is not to be confused with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corporation which is a bona fide investment brokerage with offices throughout the United States.
Lincoln Financial Corporation is not registered under the Securities Act in the Province of Prince Edward Island. Furthermore, no salesperson is registered to sell securities on behalf of the company in this Province. The sale of securities in this Province is governed by the Securities Act.
