Child Protection Act Review

As defined in the Child Protection Act & Regulations the Minister of Family and Human Services is required to appoint an advisory committee to review the Act.  The purpose of the review is to report on the operation and administration of the Act and to determine if the principles and purposes of the Act are being achieved.

There are various opportunities for Islanders to participate in this review, including:

  • at public meetings to be held across Prince Edward Island (see schedule below);
  • at individual meetings which can be arranged by calling 902-368-5294; and
  • through a written submission that can be completed by clicking here and e-mailed to or printed and mailed to:
