Introducing the Minister

Honourable Tina Mundy
Minister of Family and Human Services
Minister Responsible for Seniors 


Tina Mundy was first elected to the Legislative Assembly on May 4, 2015. On January 7, 2016, Premier Wade MacLauchlan appointed her Minister of Family and Human Services.

Minister Mundy previously served on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries, the Standing Committee on Communities, Land and Environment, the Standing Committee on Education and Economic Development, the Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Energy, and the Standing Committee on Rules, Regulations, Private Bills and Privileges.

Prior to becoming an MLA, Ms. Mundy served on Summerside City Council where she was the Chair of Police, Fire and Emergency Services; Human Resources and Legal; Culture Summerside; and Co-Chair of the Technical Services and Planning Board.

Previously, Ms. Mundy worked as a Development Officer at the Holland College Foundation in Summerside. She is an active volunteer in her community and has worked with many local organizations including the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce, the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside, the Rotary Club of Summerside, and as a liaison with the East Prince Women’s Information Centre to form new partnerships to combat cyberbullying.

In addition to her public service roles, Minister Mundy is a committed parent, entrepreneur, businessperson and community volunteer.
