Community Partners

The Department of Community Services and Seniors partners with non-government organizations that extend services to seniors. The services extended by funded organizations correspond with the Department's mandate, vision, strategic plan and legislated requirements.

Please also see our listings of community partners that serve Islanders and families and people with disabilities.

In 2010-2011, the following organizations and initiatives received grants to help the province serve seniors:

Le Comité bel âge

Le Comité bel âge is a service club for Francophone seniors in the Evangeline Region of Prince Edward Island. It was founded in 1995. The main objective of Le Comité is to "try and make life enjoyable for all seniors of the area" with special emphasis on seniors who live in community care facilities and seniors homes. Their service also targets seniors who are living alone in isolation and who need community support.
