|
PURPOSE
1. To provide for the immediate needs of persons without a fixed address in this Province.
PRINCIPLE
2. A fixed period of residence is not required to establish eligibility. However, persons with no established residence and/or no demonstrated intent to establish residence are considered to be transient.
POLICY
3. Persons determined to be transient may be provided emergency assistance limited to a meal, overnight lodging and/or bridge or boat fare.
PROCEDURE
4. Any deviation from these limitations to accommodate extenuating circumstances shall be approved by a designated supervisor.
