PURPOSE:

1.    To specify food allowance rates for applicants.

PRINCIPLES:

2.    Food allowance rates are intended to cover grocery costs in accordance with the size of the family unit.

POLICY:

3.    Food allowance rates are to be included in pre-added budget calculations from the point of application.

4.    Food allowance rates are as follows:

FAMILY UNIT SIZE

	One person	2-3 perons	4 or more persons
One adult	$156	$148	$126
Two adults		$259	$233
Child 12-18		$162	$150
Child 0-11		$114	$104
