PRE-ADDED BUDGET

PURPOSE

 

1. To simplify calculation of budget allocation at point of application.

 

PRINCIPLES

 

2. Food, clothing, household supplies and personal requirements (FCH&P) rates are intended to cover basic needs of eligible applicants without reference to any level of need.

 

POLICY

 

3. FCH&P rates are to be included in calculations from the point of application.

 

PROCEDURE

 

4. Refer to the Pre-Added Monthly Budget for FCH&P (Form HSS 205 - attached) to determine assistance levels for applicants as determined by the constitution of his/her household.

For children and other dependants 18 years and older use the amount for one adult ($214) instead of including that person in the family group.

For more than six children, use the following amounts and use the older children as the additions:
