5-11 Local Transportation

PURPOSE

1. To provide for the everyday transportation needs of applicants.

PRINCIPLE

2. Applicants generally would not have funds available to meet necessary transportation needs.

3. Family and community resources are expected to meet some of these transportation needs.

4. Applicants are expected to work out the most reasonable/economical mode of transportation.

POLICY

5. Section 18(e) of the Regulations provides for granting of a local transportation allowance, which is $25 per household (client file) per month.

PROCEDURES

6. Receipts or verification of expenditures are not required.
