Foster Care

Upcoming Information Sessions

Come hear more about the responsibilities and rewards of being a foster parent. You will be able to talk to other foster parents and have your questions answered.

- Coming soon!
The Foster Care Program provides day-to-day care for children who are in the custody and/or guardianship of the Provincial Director of Child Protection, temporarily or permanently, voluntarily or through court order.

Foster care providers are recruited, screened and assessed, trained, supported and supervised to ensure the safety and well being of the child. Foster care providers are individual contractors remunerated in accordance with provincial program standards.

If you are considering becoming a foster parent, we invite you to attend an information session to learn more about becoming a foster parent. Please contact a staff person at a Child and Family Services office nearest you to find out when the next information session is scheduled for your area.
