Parenting Programs

Parenting today presents many challenges. Parents need "tools" that will be effective in helping their children grow up to become self-disciplined, responsible and happy adults. Learning new ways to parent can prevent a lot of frustration for both child and adult. What we need to know is that it’s okay to ask for support.

Parenting Programs offered in the Queens Region use a variety of parenting strategies and resources that best fit the needs of participants. Resources include videos and print materials on parenting for prevention, active parenting, how to stop struggling with your child, self-esteem in children and many more parenting ''tools''. The focus is on how to "parent" in today’s society. Programs cover ages 0 through 16.
