Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all Islanders and build the foundation for sustained long-term economic growth in the 21st century.

Through PEI Infrastructure programs, federal, provincial and municipal governments are investing millions of dollars in infrastructure across Prince Edward Island.

Who are we?


PEI Infrastructure is a division of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.

In fall 2005 the Canada PEI Infrastructure Division under went a reorganization and expansion. Due to the increased number of infrastructure programs coming on stream, it was acknowledged that additional staff were necessary to properly administer these new programs.

In November 2005 an agreement was struck to create a Canada-PEI Infrastructure Secretariat


Programs

Infrastructure is a joint initiative between the Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island. The program began in the fiscal year 2000-2001 and with millions of dollars invested in municipalities across the province to support major capital projects.
