511 system now live

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal

Islanders and visitors can now access the most current information on road conditions simply by dialing 511, says Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Minister Robert Vessey.

“The 511 system is a great tool to improve the safety of the travelling public and help them make better winter driving plans,” said the minister.

The 511 system is a free service for Islanders and travellers that provides up-to-date information on the condition of the province’s main highways, as well as travel and weather information. Travellers can also visit 511.gov.pe.ca. The information will be updated throughout the day.
