On February 9 in Island history...
1833 Peter Fisher of Indian River does something unprecedented in the colony: he asks for a divorce from his wife, who has left him for another. The House of Assembly eventually establishes a court of divorce in 1836. We don't know if it ever granted one to Fisher.

Dispose of sharps (needles, syringes, lancets and EpiPens) safely by using an approved Needle Disposal Container, available free of charge at Island pharmacies. When full, these containers may be returned to pharmacies for disposal, at no charge. Do not place sharps into carts or blue bags.

Balsam fir has short, flat, long-lasting needles with an overall dark green colour and silver cast. It has a superb fragrance which makes it a very popular tree at Christmas.
