1912 Tom Longboat the celebrated distance runner dazzles a large crowd at the Abegweit Grounds in Charlottetown. He laps local champ Fred Cameron of Amherst twice in winning a 10-mile match race. His time of 53:10 knocks 2:54 off Cameron's track record.
