Monthly Occupancy Reporting for Hospitality Industry Program for Occupancy (HIPO)
The Tourism Industry Act, requires by law that occupancy information for all fixed roof accommodation and campgrounds on Prince Edward Island be submitted to the Minister of Tourism.
Information submitted must detail monthly occupancy and related origin information. This information must be submitted on a monthly basis for each month your operation is open, and must be filed by the tenth day of the month following the month for which the occupancy return is filed, ie. June occupancy information must be filed by July 10.
Online Occupancy Reporting
You can access the online reporting function within the BookPEI / Online Reservation System. Simply use your username and password to access the reporting function, click on the Occupancy Reporting tab and follow the steps.
Note: If you wish to file online but do not want to participate in the Online Reservation System, you may do so by obtaining a username and password for security purposes. To obtain these, please phone 1-866-213-7521 or by email at bookpei@gov.pe.ca
