The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission controls the purchase, distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages in Prince Edward Island, operating from a distribution complex housing both warehouse, office facilities, and Licensee Distribution Centre. The commission supplies and administers the operation of 19 retail liquor stores, and Licensee Distribution Centre. The commission issues the following classes of licenses: clubs, dining room, lounge, military canteen, special premises, caterers and waiters. Permits authorizing consumption of alcoholic beverages at group functions are available. Applications can be obtained at any commission outlet. The commission publishes price lists of products available from its stores. The larger stores carry a complete selection of all brands listed which include many specialty items.
