Island Focus Season Finale to Air this Week

The program will be hosted from the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown. Host Gerry Birt will speak with CEO David MacKenzie about the $5 million renovation project to be completed by the end of May. Later in the program, Duncan McIntosh, Artistic Director of the Charlottetown Festival, will give a lively synopsis of this summer's lineup of events and performances. The grand prize trivia winner of four tickets to the Charlottetown Festival will also be announced.
The finale of Island Focus will include segments on progress at the Atlantic Technology Centre, as well as an update on PEI's Drinking Water Strategy. In addition, Island students will be profiled for their involvement in the Exhibits in Personal Histories project as well as the 2002 Career Expo.
Island Focus is the provincial government's community outreach television program featuring people, places and programs of Prince Edward Island. Repeat broadcasts will air on EastLink Television throughout the summer on Mondays at 7:30 pm beginning in June. Segments can also be viewed on-line at www.gov.pe.ca/focus.
