Hal Perry named Minister of Education, Early Learning and Culture

Perry was elected MLA for District 27 Tignish-Palmer Road in October 2011. He has served on a number of Standing Committees including Education and Innovation.
Perry has displayed his commitment to community through volunteer roles. He served as director with the PEI Home and School Federation, president of Tignish Home and School Association, and president of the M.E. Callaghan Junior High Home and School Association.
He resides with his wife Brenda in Tignish and their two sons.
Paula Biggar, Minister of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy will assume responsibilities as Minister Responsible for the Status of Women.
"I thank Hal Perry for taking on this role and look forward to his contributions as Minister and Member of Executive Council," said the Premier.
