Visitor Restrictions at Hospitals

Health and Social Services

Chief Health Officer, Dr. Lamont Sweet, today advised that Community Hospital in O'Leary has re-opened to visitors following the recent outbreak of Gastro Intestinal Infection. However, there is an outbreak of a Gastro Intestinal Infection at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Tyne Valley. This is highly contagious to both patients and visitors; therefore, to prevent further spread of the infection, visitors are being restricted.
