Unlicensed Commodities and Futures Broker Operating in PEI

Office of the Attorney General

The Securities Section of the Office of the Attorney General is warning the public that it has become aware of an unlicensed commodities and futures Florida-based broker which is soliciting investment funds in the Province of Prince Edward Island. This company has been soliciting clients through telephone contact promoting investments to prospective customers.

The Florida-based company is not registered under the Securities Act in the Province of Prince Edward Island. Furthermore, no salesperson is registered to sell securities on behalf of the company in this Province. The sale of securities in Prince Edward Island is governed by the Securities Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. S-3 as amended.

The Securities Section of the Office of the Attorney General requests that anyone who has had contact with a Florida-based commodities and futures broker or who has information about such a company, to please contact Mark Gallant, Registrar of Securities at 368-4552.
