Egg and Hog Board Election Results

Donald Drake, Waterside, John Dennis, Tyne Valley, and Peter Stavert, Freetown, have been elected to the Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island Board of Directors. Murray Myles, Returning Officer, reported that all three producers were elected by acclamation following a nomination period that took place during January 2004. Elected producers serve two year terms commencing on the first of April 2004.
Gordon Lank, North Wiltshire, has been elected to the Hog Commodity Marketing Board by acclamation for a three year term. Mr. Lank will represent hog producers in Queens County, and he will assume office on April 1, 2004.
Since no nominations were received to fill a vacancy in Kings County, Willem de Boer, Montague, the current member on the board, was considered re-elected to represent hog producers in Kings County. Mr. de Boer’s term is also for three years commencing on April 1, 2004.
