Provincial Regulations Now Available Online

Office of the Attorney General

Prince Edward Island regulations are now available on the provincial government Web site at www.gov.pe.ca.

The page includes the consolidations of approximately 350 regulations and can be viewed in its entirety by anyone who accesses the Government of PEI Web site.

The Web site contains a list of the statutes and regulations that may be used to access the laws of the province.

“Preparation for the consolidation of these regulations was a project commenced by the Legislative Counsel Office close to two years ago and we are pleased to see this vast initiative completed today,” said Attorney General, Jamie Ballem. “I know that access to justice is an important issue for all of the justice system, and I am confident that the ability to easily access these regulations will be a benefit to all Islanders.”

The project is a joint initiative of the Legislative Counsel Office, Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Development and Technology.

The regulations are accessible by the corresponding statute name and under the department responsible. The site also includes a table of regulations, setting out the enactment history of the regulations.

The information in the consolidations of the statutes and regulations is current to February 1, 2004. This information will be periodically updated.
