I wish to express my sincere condolences to the families who have lost loved ones through this tragedy and to the RCMP family across the country who grieve for their fellow brothers.

“Our RCMP officers are a valued and dedicated part of the Canadian justice community. We look to the RCMP and its officers to protect our families, our communities, our borders and our country. The RCMP has long been a symbol of our freedom and the security we have come to enjoy as Canadian citizens.
