Souris Visitor Information Centre Welcomes Liquor Store for Fall of 2006

Tourism

The Souris Visitor Information Centre located in the historic Matthew & McLean Building is currently sharing space with the Souris Liquor Store while renovations are underway to the LCC building, expected to be complete December, 2006.

“We’re pleased to be able to accommodate the liquor store until the renovations to their building are completed,” noted Philip Brown, Minister of Tourism. “We want to assure the public that our visitor information centre remains open and tourism services will continue as usual until October 8. The space has proven sufficient to accommodate both services on the short term with wine and spirit sales in the main visitor information centre and beer sales in an adjacent section of the building.”

The Liquor Control Commission plans to open the doors to their newly renovated store during the month of December.
