Minister of Tourism, Valerie Docherty and John Cudmore of Rodd Hotels and Resorts celebrate receiving the 2008 Value Award from WestJet’s in-flight magazine. Readers of up! magazine voted The Links at Crowbush Cove and all six of the PEI Rodd Hotels & Resorts as this year’s winner.

Value Award winners are chosen by thousands of WestJet guests who turn to up! magazine for vital destination information about places, businesses and events that deliver excellent value and provide high-quality and unique travel experiences to the traveling public.

“As Minister of Tourism of Prince Edward Island, I am honoured that we have received this recognition from WestJet guests,” said Minister Docherty. “I congratulate John and his staff at Rodd Hotels and Resorts, along with our own staff at the Links at Crowbush Cove, as it takes a team of people working together to be selected for such a prestigious award.”

Rodd Hotels & Resorts is Atlantic Canada’s largest privately owned hotel chain with 10 properties throughout Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The Links at Crowbush Cove golf course, which was designed by Tom McBroom, offers spectacular views that combine the ocean, red soil, sand-dunes and woodlands.

“The winning combination of The Links at Crowbush Cove and the Rodd Hotels & Resorts chain gives true sense of what the consumer is valuing. The 4 ½ star golf course, teamed up with a 5 star/4 diamond resort has been in the past recognized for quality service and experience and now with the Value Award added to the accolades, it is the icing on the cake,” explains John Cudmore, President & COO of Rodd Hotels & Resorts.
