The Honourable Valerie Docherty, Minister of Tourism, is pleased to announce the airing of GOLF CHANNEL’s, Golf with Style - Prince Edward Island on October 15, 2008, and edited shows of the Legends of Golf on November 24, 2008.

As part of Prince Edward Island’s two-year partnership agreement with GOLF CHANNEL, the Island is featured as a travel destination on the popular Golf with Style TV program. In addition, the edited versions of the Legends of Golf 2006 and 2007 will air in November and December 2008.

“The Golf with Style Program features travel destinations around the world that let viewers know what other activities can be enjoyed as part of their golf experience,” said Minister Docherty. “In addition to our first-class golf courses, the half-hour program highlights the many reasons to visit Prince Edward Island. Through this exposure, we hope to tap into key U.S. markets to let them know that Prince Edward Island is the number one Canadian destination for golf and vacation.”
