PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation Heritage Awards

Museum and Heritage Foundation

The Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation is preparing to once again honour Islanders who work to preserve heritage in our province, whether it is in the form of built architecture, the written word or by the countless hours many Islanders devote to promoting the values of heritage across the province.

The Heritage Awards Ceremony will take place on Heritage Day, Monday, February 16, 2009 at 7 p.m. in the Carriage House at Beaconsfield, Charlottetown. Lieutenant Governor Barbara Hagerman will officially proclaim Heritage Day and will present awards in the following categories: Heritage Activity, Natural Heritage Activity, Volunteer of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Publication of the Year, Mary Cornfoot Brehaut Award (genealogy), Wendell Boyle Award (music) and Award of Honour.

The PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation thanks Maritime Electric for their support. For further information, please call the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation at 368-6600.
