Minister Bertram Welcomes Home Canadian Junior Mens Curling Champions

Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour

Hon. Carolyn Bertram, Minister of Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour will be joined by cabinet and caucus colleagues to welcome home members of the Brett Gallant rink, who will be arriving at the Charlottetown airport at 12:50 p.m. today.

The Brett Gallant Rink, which consists of Gallant, Adam Casey, Anson Carmody and Jamie Danbrook and is coached by Peter Gallant, were championship winners at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Mens Curling championship on Sunday in Salmon Arm, B.C. The team will go on to represent Canada at the World Junior Curling Championships in March.

“We want to show Brett, Adam, Anson and Jamie that we are very proud of their accomplishments,” said Minister Bertram. “I hope Islanders will join us to demonstrate support for our newest Canadian winners and future world champions.”

During the welcoming event at the Charlottetown Airport, Minister Bertram, on behalf of Government of Prince Edward Island, will be presenting each of the team members with a plaque with the following wording:
