Health Minister Expresses Condolences on Death of Dr. Sheldon Cameron

Health Minister Doug Currie expressed his condolences to family and friends of Dr. Sheldon Cameron who passed away this week.

“Dr. Cameron was well-known and highly respected for his compassion, and dedication to helping others,” said Health Minister Doug Currie. “He did outstanding work particularly in the area of addiction services and treatment.”

Dr. Cameron was an advocate and strong leader in bringing enhancements to addiction services, and provided countless hours of addiction treatment to Islanders over the past three decades.

“On behalf of the Department of Health and Government, I extend my deepest sympathies to Dr. Cameron’s family and friends,” said Minister Currie. “He will be surely missed and remembered by his professional colleagues, community members, and the many he helped and served over the years.“
