Prestigious Magazine Selects Island Business as One of Canada’s Best New Restaurants

Tourism

The Ship to Shore Restaurant and Lounge in Darnley, Prince Edward Island has recently been selected by enRoute Magazine as one of Canada’s Best Top 10 new restaurants says Minister of Tourism Valerie E. Docherty.

“I am so pleased for co-owners Stephen Stewart and John Bil, along with their staff, for receiving such an honourable accolade,” said Minister Docherty. “Many of our visitors to the Island look to experience a taste of Prince Edward Island and Ship to Shore Restaurant has certainly made a great first impression. This national recognition speaks volumes to the way quality food and service is delivered to the customer. Congratulations on a job well done.”

John Bil, three-time Canadian oyster shucking champion, and Stephen Stewart, president of Confederation Cove Mussel Company, combined their talents and reopened the Ship to Shore Restaurant and Lounge this past Spring. The 100-seat ocean-view eatery is located on the edge of Malpeque Bay. They offer a full menu but the emphasis is on seafood.
