Congratulations to Business Hall of Fame Inductees

Innovation and Advanced Learning

Allan Campbell, Minister of Innovation and Advanced Learning, extends his congratulations to Island entrepreneurs Frank Lewis, Dr. Kent Ellis and Donald MacDougall, who were made members of the PEI Business Hall of Fame Wednesday evening.

Minister Campbell was one of many attendees at the Wednesday night gala event – the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are the largest annual fundraising event for Junior Achievement on Prince Edward Island.

“The people honoured this week exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit on Prince Edward Island and they are excellent role models for the future business leaders taking part in Junior Achievement programs,” said Minister Campbell.

The inductees included radio broadcast executive Frank Lewis; Dr. Kent Ellis, a family doctor and founder of Marco Polo Land; and Donald MacDougall, a founding director of the Toronto Blue Jays, president of Labatt Canada and long-time CEO of Slemon Park Corporation.

Betty Ferguson, President and Director of Operations for Junior Achievement PEI, said, “We are very excited to recognize these outstanding individuals for their tireless contributions to their community and their incredible entrepreneurial spirit. Also, thanks go out to all who attended the gala event and supported Junior Achievement of PEI with our largest fundraising initiative of the year.”
