A Charlottetown language school has been named the first private language school in Canada to be recognized with the Imagine Education au/in Canada brand, says Innovation and Advanced Learning Minister Allan Campbell.

“Study Abroad Canada Language Institute is a great local business and has been a tremendous partner with government in delivering English-language training to newcomers in Prince Edward Island,” said Mr. Campbell.

“This recognition is reserved for schools that provide the highest quality of training and it is a great credit to Study Abroad Canada Language Institute to be chosen for this designation.”

“I’d like to congratulate Sherry Huang, the owner of this school. She’s one of the people who moved to Prince Edward Island under the Provincial Nominee Program and has proven to be a great contributor to the community.”

Imagine Education au/in Canada is a joint initiative of the provinces and territories through the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) and Canada’s federal Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT). The Imagine Education au/in Canada brand establishes Canada and its provinces and territories as a preferred world class destination for international students looking to pursue their education abroad.

The Imagine Education au/in Canada brand signals that its holder consistently provides high quality education programs, deals with international students in accordance with recognized codes of practice, and is subject to quality assurance mechanisms that monitor adherence to set standards.

Study Abroad Canada Language Institute has been the premier English as a Second Language (ESL) institution on Prince Edward Island for over fifteen years, educating students from more than 70 countries worldwide. It is currently PEI’s only accredited member of Languages Canada, a national association of language training providers.
