Minister Roach congratulates Entrepreneur of the Year Jason Aspin

Congratulations to Jason Aspin of Stratford on being named Progress Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the year in the category of manufacturing, says Innovation and Advanced Learning Minister Allen Roach.

“As CEO of Aspin Kemp and Associates, Jason has built a successful business by providing innovative products and services to the marine and offshore industry,” said Minister Roach. “Jason Aspin is not only a successful businessman and employer, he is an example to young Islanders that they too can succeed in business on Prince Edward Island with the right products, good training and the determination to keep working in the face of adversity.”

Aspin Kemp has operations in Stratford and Pooles Corner as well as in Dartmouth, NS; Owen Sound, Ontario and Singapore. The company employs 100 people.

Progress Magazine releases an annual list of Atlantic Canadian Entrepreneurs of the Year in a number of categories.

Past Island winners of Entrepreneur of the Year have included Regis Duffy, John Griffin, Kevin Murphy, Harvey Stewart and Steven Kelley.
