Founded in 2006, TUC® makes technology uncomplicated for business. Ranked as a top 50 global managed services provider and largest in Canada, TUC provides infrastructure, applications, virtual CIO, managed and cloud services.

TUC employs IT professionals to serve its North American client base from Summerside. The company plans to add 17 more positions in 2014 and a further 15 in 2015. The hiring will involve Level 1 and 2 IT support technicians, but additions of other corporate functions in Summerside are under consideration.

“We look forward to expanding our presence in the Enterprise Managed Services market by leveraging (and growing) our fine team at our 24x7 Managed Service Center in Summerside, PEI,” said TUC’s CEO, Mark Scott. “As Minister Roach stated, TUC has experienced rapid growth and sees Summerside as much more than a typical call center. To this end, TUC has developed a learning plan for both our existing and future team members in PEI, which will include strategic relationships with Holland College and UPEI. This plan will provide each employee with a sense of direction when planning his or her own career path and help propel internal growth of the team.”

The expansion is being supported with a labour rebate from Innovation PEI that would reach a maximum of $417,000 if the 32 anticipated jobs were created.
