All online services restored

Finance and Energy

All online services offered by the provincial government have been restored. Some were back up yesterday afternoon, with the rest fully functional by suppertime the same day.

Some sites had been temporarily suspended to deal with an internet vulnerability associated with the Heartbleed Bug, which affected websites across the globe.

These services were temporarily shut down to safeguard the integrity of information they held.

During the suspension, staff at Information Technology Shared Services (ITSS) worked with the software developer to fix the issue and test the sites for reliability before bringing them back online.
