Premier announces new Environment ADM

Premier Robert Ghiz today announced that Todd Dupuis has been appointed as the new Assistant Deputy Minister of Environment.

“The provincial government has made a strong commitment to the protection and enhancement of the environment and the management of the province’s natural resources,” said Premier Ghiz. “Mr. Dupuis brings to this position his long experience and involvement in public engagement on environmental issues at the local, regional

and national level.”

Mr. Dupuis is the Executive Director of Regional Programs with the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Through his work with the Federation, he was responsible for the development of education and research programs, and their implementation throughout Atlantic Canada and Quebec. He has been actively involved as a volunteer on a number of conservation organizations, and is the current co-chair of the Bonshaw Hills Public Lands Committee.

The Environment Division of the Department of Environment, Labour and Justice is responsible for programs and services that protect the environment, as well building and inspection services.
