Scope and content
While opinions were divided over the issue of church union in the early 1920s, a vote among the Cornwall Methodist and Clyde River Presbyterian congregations showed a majority in favour of union. As a result of Church Union in 1925, the Cornwall Pastoral charge, consisting of congregations at Cornwall, Kingston, Hampshire, North Wiltshire and New Dominion, came into being. In 1926, Hampshire and North Wiltshire became part of the Hunter River Pastoral Charge, establishing the Cornwall Pastoral Charge as it exists today.
The series contains three volumes of administrative records (minutes of session and annual minutes) of the Cornwall United Church.
