History
William Creed 1827-1898) was the son of Joseph Bennett Creed 1788-1868), farmer, of Sturgeon, Prince Edward Island and Catherine Morrison. His grandparents were William Creed (ca. 1743 - 1809) prominent resident of Three Rivers in the late 18th century and Elizabeth Prince.
William and his wife Martha Acorn (1838-1923) lived on the Creed homestead in Sturgeon, Prince Edward Island. They had twelve children: Joseph Benjamin (1862-1939); Amelia Ann (1864-1866); George Jacob (1865-1894); James (1867-1939); Lemuel (1867-?); Katherine (1870-1941); Mary (1872-1924); Lelia Maria (1874-1962); Martha Jessie (1877-1964); Damarius Laura (1880-1956); Richard (1882-1965); and Charles John (1884-1944).
