Baldwin, Douglas

Biographical history

Doug Baldwin taught at the University of Prince Edward Island for 7 years before moving in 1986 to Acadia University in Nova Scotia where he is professor of History and Canadian Studies. He specializes in medical, urban, banking, and women's history and has published 12 books and over forty articles. He spent several years researching his biography of Mona Wilson including the taping of interviews with her friends, family and co-workers.

The fonds contains copies of several articles written or edited by Doug Baldwin as well as a copy of "She answered every call: the life of public health nurse Mona Gordon Wilson (1894-1981)". Also included are notes, research materials and taped interviews on Mona Wilson and on public health in PEI. They have been divided into series by title.
